Checklist for the Days of Awe

The Lord works differently with each of us, but there is one thing we all have in common: the Holy Spirit brings to remembrance the things Jesus has said to us in the past. Quite often, when we revisit them, they speak as powerfully to us as the day we first heard Him utter the words. This is because every word that comes from the mouth of God is filled with resurrection life and the power to bring change – if we will be doers of the word and not just hearers! With this in mind, quite often the Lord directs me to something I have written in the past, sometimes years previously, and when I read it, I find it contains very timeous counsel and revelation. Such is the case with two articles I was directed to this morning.

We are presently in the Days of Awe, a time of final stocktaking before the day called Yom Kippur, which falls on the 28th September this year. These days are a time in which the Holy Spirit is putting His finger on things that need dealing with that we have overlooked or been unaware of. So when a friend of mine had a dream last night about dealing with our blindspots in these final days of September, I was immediately reminded of a two part article I wrote concerning blindspots. We all have them, whether we like to admit it or not and they can prove deadly if we do not discover what is in them. I originally wrote them in 2013, 7 years ago. I find that very significant. It is almost as if the season for dealing with them is coming to an end and this is a final call to urgently attend to what we have neglected! Please take the time to read these two articles and ask the Holy Spirit if there is anything standing in your blindspot, waiting to sabotage your forward movement:

  1. This is such a conformation to me. I have just ended a three day fast and The Lord told me to deal with a sin that I had carried for years . I only just recently became aware of it . I want to be clean from sin so that I may stand in His presence. I hope to be apart of His workers in these last hours. He is our only refuge from the wrath to come. Praise Him for His mercy in warning us. Thank you for being an obedient writer in His service.
